Description
UNDP is recruiting a Chief Technical Specialist to provide high-level technical guidance, strategic direction, and oversight for its urban resilience portfolio in Central Asia. The role will support ongoing and new regional initiatives on climate resilience, disaster risk reduction, earthquake preparedness, and urban planning across Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, with office-based work, regional coordination, capacity building, knowledge sharing, and periodic field missions. The position requires advanced education in a relevant field, at least 5 years of experience with a master’s degree (or 7 years with a bachelor’s), strong expertise in DRR, climate adaptation, urban resilience, and regional coordination, plus fluency in English and Russian.
