Toptal is hiring a Chief Technology Officer to own the company’s full technical architecture and make AI the core of its product and engineering strategy. The role will build and operate agentic systems, foundation models, evaluation infrastructure, and production workflows; lead engineering resourcing, workforce planning, hiring, and team development; and drive platform reliability, cost, security, and responsible AI. It requires a bachelor’s degree in a technical field, 15+ years of progressive engineering leadership, hands-on AI and distributed-systems expertise, and experience leading a globally distributed remote team. The position is remote and requires English communication.
