Description
The Child and Youth Program Cook prepares and cooks meals for a Child Development Center, including meats, poultry, seafood, vegetables, fruits, sauces, and gravies; coordinates quantity cooking; modifies recipes; and maintains kitchen areas, equipment, and food storage. The role also supports the School Age Care Program, follows sanitation and food-safety standards, complies with USDA CACFP requirements, and serves as a mandatory reporter for suspected child abuse or neglect. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid food handlers' card, pass E-Verify and background checks, complete required training, and provide evidence of immunization.
