Description

The Child and Youth Program (CYP) Leader provides specialized developmental care and instruction for children and youth from 6 weeks to 18 years, mentors CY Program Assistants, plans and implements developmentally appropriate activities, maintains safe indoor and outdoor environments, supervises participants, communicates with parents and employees, documents developmental progress, and ensures compliance with Department of Defense and accreditation standards. The role requires developmentally appropriate programming knowledge, child and youth development skills, program-planning and leadership abilities, emergency-response capability, and either DOD Standardized Module Training plus 12 months of CY-II experience, a CDA or Military School-Age credential plus 12 months of CY-II experience, or a relevant two-year degree plus 12 months of CY-II experience.
