The Child Care Assistant provides care, supervision, and learning support for preschool and elementary-age children in a child care center or program. The role assists with lesson planning, classroom activities, child guidance, materials and equipment, program records, parent communication, and maintaining a safe environment. It is an entry-level position with a 3.5-hour daily schedule during the school term, with substitute on-call availability, and requires six months of experience working with school-age children or verified babysitting experience.
