Description
The Child Development Training and Curriculum Specialist assists the child development center director or assistant director with developing, administering, and evaluating age-appropriate individual and group educational programs for children from 6 weeks through 12 years. The role also supports training for Child Development Program Assistants and clerical staff, advises the Family Day Care Coordinator on provider training, maintains training and resource libraries, and assists in directing cooks, food service workers, and custodial staff. Applicants must meet federal employment requirements, including U.S. citizenship, Selective Service registration for males, a qualifying education or education-plus-experience combination, and specialized knowledge of child development, curriculum development, instructional methods, and program analysis.
