Positive Development is hiring a part-time Child Development Specialist to work one-on-one with autistic children in home-based or center-based settings. The role coaches children through play, conversation, and shared activities to build communication, social, and daily living skills; documents progress; and collaborates with clinicians and supervisors. The position is onsite in Newark, New Jersey, pays $22–$28 per hour for direct-pay work and $20 per hour for training or administrative work, and offers part-time schedules including weekday or weekend options. Candidates need a high school diploma or GED, be at least 18, hold a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation, and be able to perform physical tasks and work with families.
