Description
The University of Northern Iowa is hiring a Child Development Specialist for its Child Development Center. The role plans and implements developmentally appropriate curricula, supports small- and large-group learning, engages with families, documents child development, supervises college student assistants, and may supervise field-experience students. Candidates may be hired at the Assistant Child Development Specialist or Child Development Specialist level, with the latter requiring a bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field, a teaching license or qualifying higher-education credits, and relevant certifications. The position is term-based, calendar-year scheduled, and offers starting salaries of $33,800 to commensurate for the Assistant level and $40,000 to commensurate for the Specialist level.
