The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra is hiring one Resident Fellow for an early-career symphonic musician. The fellowship offers full-time employment for at least 35 weeks, mentorship, hands-on experience with CSO members, professional and financial support, and a 2027-2028 weekly salary of $2,590.44. Eligible instruments are violin, viola, cello, horn, trombone, and percussion; candidates must have graduated by September 2027, commit to access and inclusion, and be willing to join American Federation of Musicians Local #1. The application deadline was September 30, 2026, with preliminary auditions from October 12 to November 8, 2026, and in-person semi-final and final rounds and interviews on February 1-2, 2027.
