A confidential direct client is hiring a Cisco Network Engineer for a 12+ month contract with possible extension. The role is fully on-site, although the posting inconsistently lists Lincoln, North Carolina and Lincoln, Nebraska. The engineer will provide senior-level support for statewide wide-area core network routing and maintenance, install and configure Cisco ASR 1000/9000 equipment, troubleshoot and repair core network hardware, coordinate multiple enterprise networking projects, assess patches and upgrades, maintain documentation and procedures, and mentor other systems engineers. Applicants must be United States citizens or Green Card holders, and CCNP-level certification is required.
