Michael Baker International is hiring a Civil Associate I for its Public Works/Transportation practice in Carlsbad, California. The role supports transportation engineering, roadway improvements, ADA accessibility, drainage, water quality, site development, and public works projects for municipal and county clients. Responsibilities include preparing engineering plans, specifications, cost estimates, calculations, takeoffs, and bid documents; supporting Civil 3D modeling and geometric roadway design; collaborating with project teams; participating in client meetings; and conducting occasional field visits. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, relevant coursework or experience, and at least one year of relevant engineering experience. Compensation is $85,000-$100,000, with medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other benefits.
