Description

LaBella Associates is seeking a Civil Engineer to join their Renewable Energy Group. This role involves contributing to all phases of civil engineering projects, including design concept development, detailed calculations, collaboration with other engineers, drawing production, bid phase management, and support during construction and closeout. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of design experience, preferably in renewable energy projects like solar or battery energy storage, and will need to utilize software such as AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Microstation/InRoads, and HydroCAD/AutoTURN.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 2 to 5 years of design experience
Experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D and/or Microstation/InRoads and the ability to use either in designing utilities and grading is mandatory.
Proficiency with HydroCAD, AutoTURN, is necessary to satisfactorily complete the assignments of this position.
Understanding of hydrology and stormwater design principles.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate with internal multidisciplinary teams and external clients.
Preferred Qualifications: FE certification
Design experience in Maryland/Virginia/North Carolina preferred
Experience with renewable energy projects such as solar, battery energy storage systems (BESS), or utility infrastructure is preferred.
Ideal candidates will have specific experience designing storm water management systems including compliance with local county/municipal guidelines; stormwater management calculations/reports grading schemes; erosion and sediment control measures; and roadways.
