Description
Baird, Hampton & Brown is seeking a temporary Civil Intern for this summer to learn civil engineering skills from established engineers and gain exposure to projects in the private and public sectors. The intern will analyze survey and geologic data, design transportation, hydraulic, stormwater, sewer, pipeline, parking, roadway, and other civil systems, prepare grading and utility plans and construction documents, perform hydraulic and load calculations, document project activities, communicate with project managers and clients, and accompany engineers on site visits. The role requires enrollment in an ABET-accredited Civil or Environmental Engineering bachelor’s or master’s program and excellent interpersonal and communication skills; AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office are preferred. This is a temporary position with no medical benefits or paid time off.
