Description
Inland Fisheries Ireland is hiring a Civil Environmental Engineer (Engineer Grade 2) for its newly created Barrier Mitigation Division to advise on and manage remediation works that mitigate or remove barriers to fish passage and improve river connectivity. The role involves project and technical assessment, environmental impact evaluation, design and testing, consultant supervision, construction and maintenance management, stakeholder engagement, procurement, and health and safety planning. It is a full-time specified-purpose contract linked to funding expected to last until the end of 2030, with a hybrid model of two remote days and three office days, and may be based in Citywest, Dublin; Galway City, Galway; Ballina, Mayo; or Limerick City, Limerick.
