MacKay is hiring a Civil Project Engineer (PE) in Chicago, Illinois, to design and deliver public transportation, land development, public works, utilities, and transportation projects from concept through bid documents and construction reviews. The role involves client and project-team communication, engineering calculations and reports, cost estimates, survey and as-built review, regulatory compliance, and mentoring engineers-in-training. It is a hybrid position based in the downtown Chicago office and requires an Illinois-registered PE, a civil engineering or related bachelor's degree, 4–7 years of public transportation design experience, and Bentley OpenRoads Designer/AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency.
