ALTEN UK is hiring a Senior Civil Structural Design Engineer to lead reinforced concrete and steel structural design for the Nuclear Island of EPR nuclear power plants. The role involves leading an international engineering team, performing structural analysis and seismic and dynamic load assessments, ensuring compliance with Eurocodes, ETC-C, and nuclear safety standards, coordinating with BIM and construction teams, delivering technical documentation, supporting on-site construction, and mentoring junior engineers. Candidates need experience with large-scale infrastructure, structural analysis tools such as STAAD Pro, seismic design, and construction-site support, along with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or equivalent military experience.
