Description
The employer is hiring an HGV Class 1 driver to transport waste and recyclates to landfill using LGV vehicles. The role is based out of Lochgilphead or Campbeltown in Argyll & Bute, requires 39 hours per week, and pays £15.05 per hour with overtime at 1.5 times. Responsibilities include vehicle operation, compliance with driver-hours and transport legislation, pre-start checks, vehicle maintenance, cleanliness, defect reporting, documentation, and coordination with third-party off-takers. Essential qualifications include a full UK C+E licence, Health & Safety awareness, a Drivers CPC card, hook-lift and skip-vehicle experience, independent working ability, and the ability to perform daily maintenance and minor repairs.
