Description
Black & McDonald is hiring a Class B Refrigeration Operator in Whitby, Ontario, on a continental rotation of seven days on and seven days off, with rotating 12-hour day and night shifts. The role operates and maintains refrigeration, air-compression, chiller, water-treatment, HVAC/R, and building-system equipment; performs inspections, repairs, documentation, gas and water monitoring, and provides access to sub-trades. Applicants must have a 3rd Class Power Engineer certificate or higher or an “A” or “B” Refrigeration Operator class certificate, plus experience operating in an ammonia plant. The position requires flexible availability, security clearances, physical ability to lift up to 30 kg and work on ladders or scaffolds, and vacation coverage for other operators.
