InterSources Inc. is hiring a Client Technologies Technician – Advanced (Senior Linux Systems Administrator) for a 12-month, 100% remote role in Columbia, South Carolina, with work required in the continental United States during Eastern Standard Time hours. The position serves as a subject matter expert for mission-critical system software, installs and optimizes operating systems, monitors performance and stability, supports infrastructure research and development, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and mentors junior staff. Required experience includes at least five years with Linux/UNIX systems, three years in a HIPAA-compliant healthcare environment, three years with scripting and automation, three years in mixed Linux and Windows environments, and experience with VMware or cloud-based enterprise environments. Preferred qualifications include Red Hat, configuration management, Git, logging and monitoring tools, and software-defined networking. A high school diploma is the minimum education requirement.
