Description
The role provides expert nursing care for patients with complex and unpredictable problems, develops individualized nursing plans, coordinates care with health professionals, provides patient education and discharge planning, and supports unit administration, staffing, quality assurance, and staff development. It requires a bachelor’s degree in nursing with at least four years of relevant clinical experience or a master’s degree in nursing with special-area certification, plus at least three years of relevant clinical experience. The position may be assigned to a hospital or ambulatory-care setting and includes functional supervision of professional and non-professional staff.
