Description
The Clinical Pharmacist provides primary and consultative pharmacy services in a designated specialty area, reviews and optimizes medication therapy, assesses patients, coordinates technical staff, and precepts pharmacy students and residents. The role also supports clinical research, medication-use and adverse-drug-reaction activities, educational programs, and departmental committees. A PharmD and completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency or equivalent hospital pharmacy experience are required; 2–5 years of clinical pharmacy experience is preferred, along with specialty training, board certification, leadership, communication, and mentoring abilities.
