Description
Sutter Health is hiring a full-time Risk Adjustment Coder to review outpatient medical records and assign or validate ICD-10-CM and CPT diagnoses and procedures. The role supports Medicare Advantage, CMS, and HHS risk-adjustment coding, including pre-appointment review of encounters and validation of risk-adjustment codes. It requires a high school diploma or GED, relevant coding certification, and one year of recent experience with CMS-HCC and HHS-HCC risk-adjustment coding, including pediatric and OB/GYN diagnoses. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day, with a weekly schedule of 40 hours.
