Element is hiring a Cloud Database Administrator in Toronto to support the operation, migration, and governance of Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases on Amazon RDS, as well as Snowflake environments. The role includes monitoring, performance tuning, backups, patching, incident response, upgrades, capacity planning, security, cost optimization, documentation, and coordination with managed service providers and internal application teams. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 5–8 years of production database administration or engineering experience, including hands-on SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Amazon RDS, and Snowflake experience. The base salary is $99,200–$136,400 annually, with health and welfare benefits for qualified roles.
