Datacom is seeking a mid-level Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, operate, automate, and improve secure and scalable Microsoft Azure environments for customers. The role covers cloud operations, platform engineering, infrastructure as code, migration and modernization, troubleshooting, governance, security, customer delivery, and emerging AI platform services including Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, and Azure AI Search. The position is customer-facing and may involve flexible or remote working, with Datacom offering professional development and other workplace benefits.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline (desirable).
Required Previous Experiences: Mid-level experience in cloud engineering, cloud operations, platform engineering, or infrastructure engineering.
Experience in managed services, consulting, or customer-facing technology environments.
Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex cloud technical issues.
Preferred Qualifications: Terraform, Bicep, or another Infrastructure as Code platform.
GitHub, GitHub Actions, or modern DevOps toolchains.
Azure landing zones, platform engineering initiatives, or cloud governance frameworks.
Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, or similar AI services.
Microsoft Azure or equivalent cloud certifications.
Kubernetes, container platforms, or cloud-native technologies.
Foundational AI services and modern AI concepts, including responsible AI.
