Description

Applied Research Solutions is hiring a full-time Cloud Engineer to support the Special Operations Forces Acquisition, Technology and Logistics Program Executive Office for Software Development & Acquisition. The role provides expert-level engineering leadership for Cloud, DevSecOps, Kubernetes, and enterprise software modernization; evaluates cloud architectures and multi-cloud environments; applies RMF and CIS controls; advises on cloud platform selection; and supports Agile SAFe development, systems integration, testing, and engineering oversight. The position is on-site at MacDill AFB, Florida, with 10% travel, and requires U.S. citizenship, TS w/SCI eligibility, a bachelor’s degree in a technical field, and at least 10 years of technical engineering experience.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Required Previous Experiences: At least 5 years of Department of Defense experience, preferably in Special Operations Forces or Intelligence Community environments.
At least 3 years of experience in cloud architecture, Kubernetes, enterprise DevSecOps, or similar technical areas.
Experience integrating and modernizing enterprise IT systems, preferably in Special Operations Forces or Intelligence Community operational environments.
Experience applying Risk Management Framework controls to cloud architectures, containerized workloads, and enterprise IT systems.
Experience with software integration, systems integration, mission system engineering, and complex systems-of-systems environments.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in any field, with a technical degree preferred.
Special Operations Forces or Intelligence Community experience preferred.
