AWS is hiring an Optical Network Development Engineer for its Network Product Development team to build, deploy, scale, test, and sustain optical interconnect infrastructure supporting AWS data centers and customers. The role develops automated testing tools and processes for optical transceivers, collaborates with internal and supplier stakeholders on quality assurance and deployment issues, and improves link error handling and operational reliability. Candidates need a bachelor's degree or above in a relevant engineering field, at least three years of optical communication systems experience, and experience with optical testing, transceivers, IEEE standards, supplier processes, and Python automation. The position is based in Cupertino, California, with a base salary of 157,300 to 212,800 USD annually.
