Description

Bayer HealthCare LLC is hiring a CMC Statistician in Berkeley, California. The role performs advanced statistical analysis, data mining, experimental design, biological and biotechnology data querying, data validation, statistical and machine-learning modeling, and process optimization for biologics and GMP cell therapy manufacturing. The position requires a Ph.D. plus one year of relevant experience, or a master’s degree plus three years of relevant experience, and permits telecommuting from within reasonable commuting distance up to three days per week.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Ph.D. in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related quantitative field; alternatively, a master’s degree in one of these fields is accepted with three years of stated experience.
Required Previous Experiences: 1 year of experience using Python and R for statistical modeling and machine-learning algorithm development with biotechnology datasets; alternatively, 3 years with a master’s degree.
Experience supporting biological processes, product development, and GMP cell therapy manufacturing using design of experiments and advanced statistical analysis.
Experience using GitLab and Jupyter to transform biological process sensor and product analytical data into model-development features.
Experience querying, mining, and visualizing biological process data in GCP, AWS, and/or Domino.
Experience developing genomic-data models for time-series and ANOVA analysis.
