Description
The employer is seeking an experienced Metrology Engineer / CMM Programmer to support the transition of Mitutoyo CMM programs to Zeiss Calypso in a precision piston-shop environment. The role involves writing, developing, and proving measurement programs for prismatic parts, cams, and cranks; producing first-article and ISIR reports; supporting new-product-introduction and production measurement issues; leading metrology investigations; mentoring the metrology team; and ensuring compliance with UK GDPR and data-protection requirements. Candidates should have Mitutoyo and Mcosmos 3.4 experience, GD&T and engineering-drawing knowledge, surface-texture understanding, and either Zeiss Calypso experience or willingness to undergo training.
