Description
The CNC Programmer creates cutting programs for CNC plasma and flame-cutting machines using part-nesting software, reads technical drawings, sets up machines, models cutting paths, programs and oversees quality tests, optimizes cutting settings, selects tools, and troubleshoots machine problems. The role requires at least three years of experience in a steel manufacturing setting, strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, blueprint-reading ability, and the ability to work safely in a shop environment. The position reports to the Pre-fab Manager and collaborates with the operations team and Burn Table Foreman.
