The role involves setting up and operating manual mills, lathes, and CNC equipment; programming CNC machines with G-code; interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings; inspecting precision parts; maintaining tools and equipment; and improving production efficiency. Candidates need proven manual and CNC machining experience, G-code and CNC programming knowledge, precision inspection skills, technical-documentation ability, and a high school diploma or GED.
