Description
The role involves setting up and operating metal-removing machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, and grinders; reading and interpreting blueprints and part specifications; measuring, marking, and laying out stock; verifying parts against tolerances; diagnosing machine malfunctions; and documenting work activities. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, familiarity with G-code and machine setup, blueprint-reading ability, and the ability to operate and adjust equipment. It is supervised by a supervisor, has no supervisory responsibilities, and requires occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds.
