Description
PPG is hiring an Aerospace CNC Production Operator in Grand Prairie, Texas, with a 2nd shift from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM and a pay rate of $31.75 per hour. The role operates and programs CNC milling machines, including Zimmermann portal/gantry systems; reads engineering drawings and CAD/CAM files; writes and optimizes G-code/M-code; performs tooling, offsets, first-article, and in-process inspections; troubleshoots machine and tooling issues; maintains production records; and collaborates with engineering, quality, and production teams. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, at least three years of hands-on CNC machining experience, five-axis machining experience, and knowledge of CNC control systems, GD&T, precision measurement, and cutting parameters. Preferred qualifications include experience with Zimmermann milling machines, aerospace or manufacturing experience, and lean manufacturing knowledge.
