The CNC Tooling Designer reviews CAD models and blueprints, develops machining instructions and toolpaths, programs and simulates CNC operations, monitors tooling, and supports mold sampling, assembly, and production tooling. The role also creates 2D drawings and die lines, operates a sample press, maintains file structures, and collaborates with CNC operators, the Mold Shop, and the Production Scheduler.
