Description

Weir is hiring an onsite CNC Programmer in Isando to program and optimize Fanuc- and Mazatrol-controlled CNC machines, support machining production and quality, troubleshoot shop-floor issues, advance lean and smart manufacturing initiatives, and improve safety, efficiency, and cost per component. The role requires 3–5 years of CNC programming experience, including up to five-axis programming, experience with CNC boring mills and lathes, a Fitter and Turner or Tool and Die Maker qualification with advanced CNC programming training, and CAD/CAM proficiency.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Fitter and Turner or Tool and Die Maker qualification, plus completion of an advanced CNC programming course.
Required Previous Experiences: 3–5 years of CNC programming experience using Fanuc and Mazatrol controls, including up to five-axis programming.
Experience operating or programming horizontal and vertical CNC boring mills and CNC lathes.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience implementing lean manufacturing principles.
Familiarity with OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 standards.
Strong computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Experience with smart manufacturing and digital tooling systems.
Ability to collaborate with tooling suppliers and optimize tooling costs.
