Description
The CNC Programmer provides programming support for machining parts, tools, and sheet metal on numerically controlled machine tools by writing complex machine instructions, selecting cutting tools and machining parameters, developing efficient part processes, coordinating tape tryouts, modifying programs for engineering changes, and contributing to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing activities. The role may provide leadership, mentor less experienced employees, and coordinate cross-functional projects. It requires completion of related trade school, an AA, or equivalent external training in NC programming, plus seven or more years of directly related experience.
