Amazon is hiring a CNC Prototyping Engineer for its Prototyping and Integration Team to own the end-to-end machining of complex aerospace prototypes. The role involves programming and operating multi-axis mills, lathes, and mill-turn equipment; developing CAM-based machining strategies; collaborating with design and manufacturing engineering; managing concurrent builds; establishing repeatable processes; performing inspection and troubleshooting; and mentoring other machinists and prototyping engineers. The position requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field, at least five years of complex CNC machine-shop experience, CAM expertise, and continuous-improvement experience. It is based in Northridge, California, with a base salary of $122,600 to $170,000 annually.
