Notpla is hiring a Coating Process Engineer in its Innovation team to develop and scale natural biomaterial packaging solutions. The role combines laboratory and pilot-scale work, including coating trials, process optimization, troubleshooting, scale-up, barrier and mechanical testing, feasibility studies, and collaboration with material scientists, designers, commercial teams, and external partners. Candidates should have a relevant engineering degree, experience with paper coating processes, and a record of developing and troubleshooting manufacturing processes. The position offers an office-first hybrid arrangement and a salary of £33,500–£47,000 plus EMI share options.
