Description
The County Code Enforcement Officer responds to citizen complaints, inspects properties and businesses for zoning, signage, building-code, noise, and other violations, issues citations and court summonses, attends court hearings, coordinates with law enforcement, and educates the public and businesses about code compliance. The role also processes complaints, licenses, citations, reports, and photographic evidence, and requires an associate’s degree in a related field, two years of customer service experience, a Georgia driver’s license, and Level I GACE or ICC Property Maintenance and Housing Inspector certification.
