Description

The Code Enforcement Officer ensures compliance with County land use, zoning, building, solid waste, subdivision, public nuisance, and related ordinances. The role performs field inspections, reviews codes and complaints, educates the public, maintains enforcement records, administers preliminary sanctions, initiates legal proceedings, and presents abatements and certificates of non-compliance to the Board of County Commissioners. It requires a high school diploma or GED, three to five years of experience in planning, zoning, or related ordinance violation investigations, an Idaho driver’s license, and successful completion of a background investigation.
