Description
The Code Enforcement Specialist will perform field inspections and enforcement activities, handle case intake, documentation, tracking, notice preparation, compliance follow-up, backlog reduction, and case resolution. The role also supports the integration of the Code Enforcement program by establishing coordination protocols, reporting procedures, tracking systems, equipment requirements, and standard operating procedures, while providing transition support for migrating cases from the RIMS system, transferring knowledge to City staff, and offering on-call advisory support until full-time roles are filled. The candidate must have demonstrated experience in code enforcement in California jurisdictions and meet applicable California certification and training standards.
