Description
The Coder reviews invoices and provides expert advice to billing staff by auditing and coding medical documentation, assigning and sequencing CPT and ICD-10 codes, coordinating with billing staff and system WQs to ensure proper claim payment, and complying with Medicare policies and HIPAA requirements. The role requires an active CIC or CCS medical coding license, a bachelor's degree in a medical-allied course, knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel, and strong communication, problem-solving, judgment, and confidentiality skills.
