Description
The SEHA Hospital Coder will be responsible for accurately determining diagnoses and procedures using various computer systems and sources. This includes utilizing encoder software, consulting reference materials, validating charges against documentation, and applying modifiers appropriately. The coder will also utilize a retrospective edit tool to identify potential coding issues, collaborate with CDI, physicians, and revenue cycle management teams, and interpret bundling/unbundling guidelines like NCCI. Additionally, they will track unresolved issues, investigate claim denials/appeals, maintain coding quality and productivity standards, stay updated on regulatory changes, resolve moderate to complex problems, and adhere to UAE laws and ethics.
