Description
The Medical Coder abstracts, codes, sequences, and interprets clinical information from inpatient, outpatient, emergency department, pro fee, and other medical records. The role assigns principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures, applies DRG/APC reimbursement principles, enters codes into multiple systems, maintains regulatory and quality compliance, and tracks productivity. It is a full-time remote position requiring AAPC or AHIMA-approved coding certification, two to four years of acute-care and profee production coding experience, CPC/COC/CIC/RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CCS-P credentials, and Epic experience.
