Description
The Coder II codes diagnoses and visit-related procedures for Emergency Department, Infusions Wound Care Clinic, and Outpatient Ancillary encounters using HCPCS/CPT and/or ICD-10-CM. The role works an 8-hour 6:00 AM–2:30 PM shift with weekend work as needed, is covered by a SEIU collective bargaining agreement, and pays $31.230–$45.280 per hour. Candidates need six months of Emergency Department coding experience or an alternative experience pathway, plus RHIT, CCS, CCA, or CPC certification, along with coding assessment, medical terminology, compliance, computer, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
