Description
The Same Day Surgery Coder reviews clinical documentation for same-day surgery and other outpatient records, abstracts the information, assigns ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes, and enters the codes into the hospital information system. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a coding certificate, and CCS, CPC, RHIA, or RHIT certification, with hospital coding experience preferred. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or flexibly, with pay of $20.84 to $30.68.
