Description
Datavant is hiring an experienced outpatient observation coder to review medical records, assign and sequence diagnosis and procedure codes, determine discharge disposition, abstract coded data, and communicate coding issues. The role requires AHIMA or AAPC credentials, at least two years of hospital or coding consulting experience, proficiency with observation, injection/infusion, ancillary, emergency department, and E/M coding specialties, and experience with computerized encoding and abstracting software. It is fully remote with a flexible schedule, offers full-time and PRN benefits, and pays $20–$35 USD per hour.
