Description
UT Southwestern is hiring a Coding Inpatient (IP) Trainer/Educator to train and mentor coding staff on inpatient coding guidelines, clinical documentation, CDI concepts, query opportunities, reimbursement, audits, and related review processes. The role also coordinates onboarding, develops training materials, monitors team performance, identifies educational gaps, and collaborates with CDI, audit, and denial teams. Candidates need 3–5 years of acute hospital inpatient coding experience, leadership progression, educational-content experience, and relevant coding or health information management credentials; a bachelor's or associate's degree in a related field and ICD-10-CM/PCS trainer certification are preferred.
