Description
The University of Washington’s UW Medicine Enterprise Records and Health Information department is hiring an experienced Emergency Coder for a regular, 100% full-time, Monday–Friday first-shift role. The position reviews electronic medical records in Epic, assigns ICD, CPT, and HCPCS codes for emergency department professional and facility services, submits charges, verifies documentation, resolves provider queries, and maintains five-day turnaround times. Applicants need a high school diploma or equivalent and three years of coding experience or equivalent education and experience, plus certification in a recognized health information or coding credential. The pay range is $34.84 to $49.88 per hour.
