Applied Materials is hiring a full-time semiconductor etching trainee/intern in Singapore. The role introduces the intern to selective etching of semiconductor materials, including how chemical precursors and process conditions affect etch rate, selectivity, and material compatibility. Responsibilities include developing and improving thin-film etch processes for metals, dielectrics, and multilayer stacks, conducting guided experiments, collecting and documenting data, troubleshooting etch issues, and operating tools in a cleanroom environment. The position requires basic chemistry or materials science knowledge, interest in semiconductor processing and cleanroom work, willingness to handle chemicals safely, and strong documentation and problem-solving skills.
