Description
The Colossus Site Reliability Engineer will improve the reliability, performance, scalability, and security of Google Cloud's low-level filesystems and storage systems. The role works with developers across the storage stack, contributes to system analysis, design, automation, tooling, and customer consultation, and serves on the global Colossus on-call rotation. Responsibilities include driving technical direction, shaping team culture, and advocating SRE best practices. The position requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, five years of software development experience, three years of large-scale distributed systems experience, and two years of project leadership and technical leadership experience; a master's degree is preferred. The Ireland location offers €122,000–€125,000 plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
